Who is Ann Mobley? I am a native of Missouri; I met my husband, Jerry, at Cedarville Bible College in Ohio, and we became partners in ministry from our dating days until his unanticipated — and to me untimely — death at the age of 43. My testimony over these year is “God has been faithful” and to share all the ways he has comforted me in sorrow, directed my steps, provided faithfully, and opened up unexpected opportunities of ministry would fill another book. I continued to serve in a leadership role following Jerry’s death in a ministry God had raised up in our home, Ecclesia Fellowship in Ft. Lauderdale. Later, I was privileged to help found and serve on the first Board of A Woman’s Pregnancy Center in Ft. Lauderdale, and several years later, to serve on the Board of Worthy Creations in that same city. I also led their Family and Friends Support Group. One of God’s good provision for me after the death of my husband, and subsequently the death of my older son, was to serve on the staff of First Baptist Church of Pompano (Florida) for almost 18 years. After retirement, I moved back to Missouri to Jefferson City to help care for my ageing mother who was declining from Alzheimer’s.

I presently teach a ladies Bible Class on Sunday mornings at Concord Baptist Church, and occasionally am asked to speak for women’s events, or present workshops on “When Someone You Love is Gay.”  In November, 2013, my book, If I Tell You I’ Gay, Will you Still Love Me? One Mother’s Journey to Truth and Grace was published

I enjoy the beauty of God’s creation — from marveling at the tiny humming birds who feed at the feeder on my deck to being awed by the majesty of the Rocky Mountains, the awesomeness of a sunrise at the beach in South Florida, or the beauty of the falls and spring times in Missouri. I marvel that this same mighty Creator God is my Heavenly Father, and that I have been privileged to know his Son, Jesus Christ, as my Savior since I was seven years old!

If people ask me how many children I have, my answer is: one adult son living in South Florida, and a son and daughter waiting to greet me in heaven along with my husband.

In the meantime, it Is my desire and goal to live to please my Lord and Savior and to learn more each day how to walk in truth and grace.(John 1:12) It is also my joy to walk along side of and encourage others in their relationship with Jesus Christ. To God be all the glory!

      • I am well, thanks.. still married to Marcia. Was down in Lauderdale for Teri’ funeral. Saw Melanie Hole – was only person I knew there – and yes, a very long time. I recalled they were on cassettes, and saw where the Granddaughter of the Pastor of the church we had attended when I was in medical school had been working to digitize her later Grandfather’s sermons – so thought would ask.
